Christmas Prayer

God the Father, you have given us the gift of your beloved Son: Grant that we may believe in his name, and with the assurance of adoption call on you as our good Father.
God the Son, you became poor for our sakes so that we might be enriched by your poverty: Grant that we may always abide in you and so enjoy life to the full in your embrace.
God the Spirit, you have anointed us with the name of Christ: Grant that we may know the preciousness of our redemption, and so hold fast to our Savior all our days.
Holy, blessed, and glorious Trinity, ever one God, you wonderfully made and yet more wonderfully restored the dignity of human nature: Grant us grace, most merciful God, to hear clearly your voice, that in hearing we may believe in your gracious heart for us, and in believing we may be transformed by your embrace, and in being transformed we love and revere you as our Savior and King, and in loving you we may
be brought at the last to everlasting salvation, through Jesus Christ our Incarnate Lord. Amen.
