Summer Science Camp

High school students interested in physics should apply to Hillsdale College’s intensive, week-long summer science camp. This annual summer camp is intended for high school sophomores, juniors, and seniors from the local Michigan and surrounding tri-state area who are interested in learning more about modern science, .

Students will explore chemical dyes, chromatography, spectroscopy, polymers, holography, superconductivity, X-Ray diffraction, and thermodynamics in a hands-on laboratory experience.

Science is challenging and fun, exciting and practical. It is also interdiscplinary and cooperative. By sponsoring these camps, Hillsdale College hopes that attendees will leave ready to choose a major in one of these fields in college and to later pursue careers in science.

Science by Inquiry Workshop

The Science by Inquiry Workshop is a high quality, research-based professional development program in physical science. Features of the program include:

• No tuition or fees
• A large number of SB-CEUs
• 3-6 graduate credits offered
• Free classroom equipment
• No previous background in physics required
• Aid in adopting Science Academic Content Standards
