Hillsdale College Hosts Collegiate Shooting Championship
The Hillsdale College Action Shooting Team took first place in three events at the inaugural United States Practical Shooting Association Collegiate Championship.
HILLSDALE, Mich. — The Hillsdale College John Anthony Halter Shooting Sports Education Center, in collaboration with Springfield Armory, hosted the inaugural United States Practical Shooting Association Collegiate Championship from September 28-29 at Hillsdale’s Ailes Action Shooting Range.
“Hillsdale College was honored to host the first ever USPSA Collegiate Championship,” said Adam Burlew, head coach of the Hillsdale College Action Shooting Team. “We are grateful to USPSA and Springfield Armory for their support and proud of our team for their dedication. We look forward to hosting many more competitions in the future.”

The Collegiate Championship aimed to introduce collegiate shooters to USPSA competitions. All collegiate-level shooters were invited to compete in two divisions: limited and open. This level 1 match featured 12 stages of shooting and concluded with an awards ceremony.
Members of the Hillsdale College Action Shooting Team placed in the top three in five of the six divisions.

About the John Anthony Halter Shooting Sports Education Center
The Halter Center is a state-of-the-art shooting facility located five miles from the Hillsdale College campus. Opened in 2008, the Center aims to introduce individuals to shooting sports and encourage interest across all levels of experience.
