Hillsdale College Students Named Finalists for State Broadcasting Awards
Hillsdale had finalists in nine categories for the Michigan Student Broadcast Awards from the Michigan Association of Broadcasters.
HILLSDALE, Mich. — Hillsdale College had finalists in nine categories for the annual Michigan Student Broadcast Awards from the Michigan Association of Broadcasters. Winners will be announced on March 20 at the Student Awards Luncheon in Lansing.
“I’m very proud of our WRFH students for their work,” said Scot Bertram, general manager of WRFH/Radio Free Hillsdale 101.7 FM. “We had fourteen entries named finalists in nine categories, putting WRFH in the running for College Audio Station of the Year. We are grateful for this recognition of the excellent content our students produce.”
The top three entries in each category were named finalists. Colleges earn points for each entry that receives first or second place or an honorable mention. The school with the most points will be named Station/Program of the Year. WRFH had fourteen finalists in nine categories in the College Audio division:

WRFH is the student-run radio station of Hillsdale College. Since its founding in 2016, students have created thousands of hours of content and hundreds of episodes of radio shows on topics from sports and politics to poetry and astronomy. Hillsdale students and WRFH have earned seven first-place awards from IBS, 25 from the Michigan Association of Broadcasters, and seven from Collegiate Broadcasters, Inc.
