Hillsdale College Music Department Hosts Violin and Viola Virtuosi Concert
The performance featured a variety of short pieces performed by students and faculty.
HILLSDALE, Mich. — The Hillsdale College Music Department hosted a Violin and Viola Virtuosi concert on Friday, March 21, in Markel Auditorium. The performance featured 17 short works performed by student groups or soloists on violin or viola. Some performances were accompanied by faculty members on guitar, bass, or piano.

Works performed included “The Hot Canary” by Peter Nero, “Scherzo — Tarentelle” by Henri Wieniawski, “Clarinet Polka” by Karol Namyslowski, and “Tico-Tico no Fuba” by Zaquinha de Abren.
A pre-concert featured the student bluegrass combo Hillsgrass.
