Hillsdale College Announces September Fine Arts Events
Upcoming events include the annual Michigan Water Color Society Exhibit and the Tower Players production of ‘You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown.’
HILLSDALE, Mich. — Hillsdale College will hold a variety of fine arts events in September, which are open to members of the local community. Upcoming events include the 79th Annual Michigan Water Color Society Exhibit and the Tower Players production of “You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown.”

Friday, Sept. 4: Michigan Water Color Society 79th Annual Exhibition
6 p.m. | Daughtrey Art Gallery (Fine Arts Building)
The Hillsdale Art Department presents a traveling show of the Michigan Water Color Society’s 79th annual exhibition, featuring 30 award-winning pieces from this year’s juried exhibition at the Ella Sharp Museum in Jackson, Michigan. An opening reception will be held on Friday, Sept. 4, in the Daughtrey Art Gallery, and the exhibit will run through Sunday, Oct. 4. For gallery hours, click here.

All are invited to the inaugural lecture of this year’s Musical Forum dedicated to exploring the intersection of music and meaning.

Dr. Sammarco will share his personal experience, having sung and rehearsed the leading boy’s role in the premiere performance and first tour of the opera “Amahl and the Night Visitor” in 1951, under the direction of Arturo Toscanini.
