Post-Graduation Outcomes for Economics Majors

The Hillsdale College Economics degree prepares students for a multitude of careers in a variety of industries, or alternatively, for placement in prestigious graduate programs around the world. Students gain exposure to the field of modern economics through courses such as intermediate micro and macro economics, public choice theory, international trade, developmental economics and constitutional political economy. These courses are complemented by others with a more quantitative focus, such as transfer pricing, mathematical economics, and econometrics. Rounding out the program is a two-course series on the history of economic thought – something almost entirely unique to Hillsdale’s economics program – which establishes and tracks the development of economics as a field, and explores the College’s ties to the Austrian Economics Tradition.
