Liberty & Learning Youth Conference

Rising high school sophomores through seniors age 15 or older are invited to study with Hillsdale College faculty this summer while also taking advantage of the College’s John Anthony Halter Shooting Sports Education Center. Students with all levels of firearms experience are welcome.

You will study the American Founding and the principles of Constitutional government with an emphasis on the Second Amendment, receive a supervised introduction to shooting sports, and enjoy the beauty of the Hillsdale College campus. By competing in a Constitutional essay contest, you will also have an opportunity to win a $3,000 renewable scholarship applicable to future Hillsdale College tuition.

Applications are encouraged no later than April 1, but will be reviewed until the program has reached capacity. In addition to the application, we will ask you to write a short essay, and to submit two letters of recommendation, an official high school transcript, either ACT/CLT/SAT/PLAN/CLT10/PSAT scores (one required) or a graded writing assignment of between two and five pages, and résumé. Strongly encouraged, though not required, you will also have an opportunity to respond on the application online in real time to a short answer question. A camera is needed on the device you will be using to apply.
