The position starts August 2016 and requires enthusiastic commitment to teaching and research at the undergraduate level. Hillsdale has a thriving, collegial, ACS-approved department with six full-time Ph.D. faculty (expanding to seven) and outstanding students and facilities. Each year we graduate 15-25 majors in chemistry and biochemistry. Because of steady growth in our biochemistry major, we seek a dynamic colleague to join in teaching courses and guiding undergraduate research in biochemistry. The new faculty member will also likely share in teaching either general chemistry or liberal arts core chemistry for non-science majors. Research area is open within the broad field of biochemistry and must be suitable for undergraduate participation.
Hillsdale College, founded in 1844, is a selective, independent, national liberal arts college of 1,500 students.
