Thelma Mullin Sim, ’57

Mrs. Sim graduated in 1957 with bachelor’s degrees in Sociology and French. While on campus she joined Pi Beta Phi and was involved in Who’s Who, Tower Players, Student Radio Production Staff, International Relations Club, French and Sociology Clubs, the Winona, Home Ec Club and the Debate Team. Thelma taught in the Livonia School System in the ACAT (gifted) program and then in 5th and 6th grade for 35 years.
Thelma is currently a member of the Hillsdale College Board of Women Commissioners, the President’s Club and the Hillsdale College Alumni Executive Board as the Alumni Liaison, which affords her the opportunity to remain actively involved with the College, alumni and community.
Thelma is the mother of Julie Sim, ’87 (deceased) and Dr. Audrey Sim-Urpsis. Her husband, Alexander ‘Sandy” Sim, ’58 (deceased) was also an Alumni Executive Board member. Thelma continues to enjoy family, extensive traveling, golf, volunteer work and fundraising for the Susan G. Komen (Cancer) “Race for the Cure.”
