About
Brett hails from a suburb of southern California, where he didn’t hear about Hillsdale until the fall of his senior year, but was drawn to the College’s concern with serious questions. Set on studying English, his love was confirmed and deepened during his undergraduate studies by an exposure to the best literature of the Western canon. During his time as a student, you could find him pretending to write English term papers, enjoying the company of great friends, or lounging on the back porch of his off-campus house, Egypt. He served as a Writing Center tutor, editor-in-chief of a student publication, The Magazine, and vice president of the club soccer team.
