About

David grew up in rural northeastern Ohio. He participated in a lot of sports growing up and cultivated a passion for Track & Field. David came to Hillsdale College in the fall of 2014, where he competed on the track team as a decathlete. He studied both history and exercise science as a student at the College. His favorite memories are traveling with the track team and cheering on his friends in competition. While at Hillsdale, David met his wife Abbie, who was also on the track team. After college, David moved to San Antonio, Texas, where he taught humanities and oversaw athletics at a classical charter school before returning to Admissions. In life, David has tried to embrace the motto of the Hillsdale athletic department, “Strength Rejoices in the Challenge.”
