About

Ella grew up in Fort Wayne, Indiana, and heard about Hillsdale from her uncle, who loved the mission of the College (and wanted her to move to Michigan). With strong encouragement from her parents, she visited in January of her junior year of high school and instantly fell in love with the close-knit community, rigorous academics, and the College’s commitment to a classical Christian education.

As a student, Ella served as a resident assistant and then house director in Benzing Residence. In her free time, she enjoyed lifting in the JAM, competing in the Hillsdale half-marathon, and playing the violin. She was an active member of the Catholic Society and worked part-time at the Dow Hotel and Conference Center. Ella graduated in 2026 with a major in applied mathematics and a minor in financial management.
