Changing Roles: Haylee Booms Smith Transitions from ICU Nurse to Full-Time Wife and Mother

Once serving as an ICU nurse at Hillsdale Hospital during the COVID-19 pandemic, Haylee Booms Smith, ’17, is now a wife and mother of three young children as her husband completes divinity school in the Los Angeles area.

Still Going Strong: Former Charger Tennis Captain John Scott, ’72, Continues to Play the Game He Loves

John Scott, ’72, said he never had a chance to play a match of high school tennis because he wasn’t good enough to crack his team’s lineup. He still tried out for the Charger tennis team, and eventually became the number one singles and doubles player and had a chance to perform against some of the best college competition in Michigan.
