Recent Graduate Braden VanDyke Joins Alumni Office

The 2021 senior class president and former student president of the 1844 Society joined the office last October to fill the position of Assistant Director for Student Programs and Young Alumni. Braden hopes to cultivate a spirit of gratitude and stewardship among the student body through the work of the 1844 Society.

Fighting for Life in Fort Lauderdale

While most students headed home for Christmas break, some flew to Florida to support the pro-life cause. Working with the Susan B. Anthony List, they spent a week knocking on doors, talking to voters, and advocating for the rights of the unborn.

Never give up. It’s a lesson that Pete Dzwilewski took to heart as a javelin thrower on Hillsdale College’s track team in the mid-1980s. From a rocky start as a new freshman thrower, Pete rose to the top of his sport by his senior year and still holds the College’s record nearly 35 years later in the javelin throw.
