HILLSDALE, Mich. — Hillsdale College is pleased to announce that fourteen students were selected to join the George Washington and Winston Churchill Fellowship program beginning this semester.

“The application process for these fellowships is highly competitive,” said Mary Wheeler, undergraduate programs coordinator for Hillsdale in D.C. “These students are not only intelligent but eager to grow as citizens and statesmen. We are excited to welcome them to the program.”

Both fellowships include a scholarship, additional required classes, discussions with visiting scholars, research and writing projects that serve as preparation for civic deliberation, and a semester in Washington, D.C. as part of the Washington-Hillsdale Internship Program.

The George Washington Fellowship prepares students for careers in the public square, with an emphasis on America’s founding documents and on leading statesmen and thinkers who have upheld the principles of American constitutionalism.
