Hillsdale College Displays Student Art Exhibits
The College displayed an exhibit of student art from the spring semester as well as several exhibits featuring art by graduating seniors.
HILLSDALE, Mich. — Hillsdale College displayed several student art exhibits this past semester, including a spring showcase and a series of senior art major exhibits.
“Our students work hard to grow in their skills and create something beautiful,” said Art Department Chairman Julio Suarez. “These exhibits are an exciting way to honor their accomplishments and share their work with campus and the community.”

The Spring Student Art Exhibit was on display in the Daughtrey Art Gallery from April 29 through May 7. The exhibit featured all levels of student work from spring semester studio courses. Isaac Dell served as this year’s judge and presented awards during the opening ceremony on April 29.
Three exhibits displayed works senior art majors created during their time studying with the Hillsdale Art Department. Exhibits were displayed in the Daughtrey Art Gallery and featured a wide range of artistic media, including drawing, painting, sculpture, photography, and graphic design.
Jack Cote, Eleanor Vaughan, Lucia Wilson, and Emily Hardy’s senior art exhibit “To Whatever Variation” was displayed in the Daughtrey Gallery from March 28 through April 1. Raegan Coupland, Joy Hanes, and Rachel Moeller’s senior art exhibit “Putting the Pieces Together” was displayed April 4-8. Cecelia Cummins, Abby Davis, and Katie Lannon’s senior art exhibit, “Wide-Eyed” was displayed April 11-15.
Each exhibit began with an opening reception. Both the receptions and the exhibits were free and open to the public.
