Hillsdale College Holds Seminar on Economic Issues and Controversies

HILLSDALE, Mich. — Hillsdale College hosted its second Center for Constructive Alternatives seminar of the 2024-25 academic year Nov. 10-13. The seminar, titled “Economic Issues and Controversies,” explored monetary systems, technological advancements, and threats to freedom.

“We should not brag about having a quicker recovery than European nations or Japan,” said Charles Payne, CEO of Wall Street Strategies Incorporated. “These places shot themselves in the foot. They are not coming back.”

Other topics included “The Danger of Central Bank Digital Currencies,” “Space Mining” and “The Economics and Future of Electric Vehicles,” with speakers including Nicolas Cachanosky, Catherine Austin Fitts, Jeff Snider, Joel C. Sercel, and Mark P. Mills.
