HILLSDALE, Mich. — The Hillsdale College Athletics Department hosted athletic camps throughout the month of July. Participating campers had the opportunity to learn from and train with Hillsdale College’s Division II swimming, volleyball, and basketball coaches and athletes.

The women’s swimming team hosted a Nike Swim Camp for ages 10-18. Hillsdale College’s Head Swim Coach Kurt Kirner and his staff helped competitive swimmers improve their stroke technique through instruction and in-water training.

The women’s volleyball team hosted a Team Camp for high school teams to learn college-level drills and training run by the volleyball team and alumnae. The team also hosted a Youth Camp for grades 4-7. The camp included an overview of core volleyball skills — footwork, passing, serving, setting, and attacking.

The men’s basketball team hosted an Offensive Development Camp for grades 1-8. The camp helped athletes improve their skills individually and in 2-on-2, 3-on-3, and team competitions.

The Athletics Department will offer two other camps this summer:

  • Aug. 18: Charger Youth Football Camp
  • Sept. 1: Baseball Prospect Camp
