Hillsdale College Hosts Performance by Dance Kaleidoscope
The show featured dynamic contemporary works performed by Indiana’s longest-performing professional dance company.
HILLSDALE, Mich. — Hillsdale College hosted a performance on Saturday by Dance Kaleidoscope, Indiana’s longest-performing professional dance company. The show featured dynamic works that showcased the company’s versatility, athleticism, and artistic depth.
“We were pleased to welcome Dance Kaleidoscope to Hillsdale College,” said Holly Hobbs, assistant professor of dance. “Their performance was spectacular, and it was a great opportunity for our students to experience the power and creativity of contemporary dance.”

Works performed included Janice Rosario’s Peak/Valley (2024) and David Hochoy’s award-winning Rhapsody in Blue (2006), celebrating the centennial of the famous piece by George Gershwin. The performance also featured former Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre company member Sean Aaron Carmon’s newest world premiere and three works by Dance Kaleidoscope’s new Artistic Director Joshua Blake Carter, including Edge of the Sky (2023), his first original work for the company.
