Hillsdale College Music Department Presents Chamber Ensembles Recital
The recital included seven short performances featuring a variety of instruments and music styles.
HILLSDALE, Mich. — The Hillsdale College Music Department Student Chamber Ensembles performed in Christ Chapel on March 7 during Parents Weekend. Students, faculty, staff, families, and members of the community attended.
“This performance enables Hillsdale parents to experience the broad range of talent in our Music Department, while giving our music students an opportunity to hone their ensemble skills,” said Music Department Chair Melissa Knecht. “With a wide variety of instruments and styles, this performance offers something for everyone to enjoy.”

The recital featured seven short performances by ensembles ranging from two to six students. Ensembles included vocals, cello, piano, violin, viola and percussion. The groups performed a variety of pieces, from excerpts of operas by Mozart and Strauss to a recent piece by percussionist and composer Ivan Trevino.
