HILLSDALE, Mich. — Hillsdale College graduate Christina Lewis ’26 recently began working at The Daily Wire with conservative commentator Michael Knowles through a yearlong fellowship with the Intercollegiate Studies Institute’s Collegiate Network.

“At Hillsdale, we teach our journalism students how to think clearly, write clearly, and tell good stories,” said Maria Servold, assistant director of Hillsdale’s Dow Journalism Program. “We’re always excited to see our journalists succeed as they go out into in the world after graduation.”

Lewis works with Knowles and his team, writing and researching for his show as well as contributing to other projects. She also writes articles for The Daily Wire’s website.

“I applied to the ISI Collegiate Network Fellowship hoping for an opportunity to strengthen my journalism skills at a news outlet that would challenge me,” Lewis said. “I am so grateful for the chance to learn from Mr. Knowles while gaining valuable reporting and research experience.”

Lewis graduated from Hillsdale in May with a major in history and minors in journalism and politics. At Hillsdale, she worked as a writer and editor for The Collegian, Hillsdale’s student-run newspaper, and interned for the Freedom Foundation and the Daily Signal.

“As a journalist, my goals are to be a voice for the voiceless and promote accountability in the government,” Lewis said. “Growing up debating politics among countless other topics with my family instilled in me the curiosity to thrive at Hillsdale and make the most of my time there. I am thankful for my family, friends, professors, and classmates who stood by me and prepared me for this next challenge.”

Hillsdale College offers journalism as a minor, with classes in print journalism, broadcast, documentary filmmaking, and more. Students gain hands-on experience working for The Collegian, Hillsdale’s student-run newspaper, and Radio Free Hillsdale, the College’s radio station. All journalism students also complete internships. Hillsdale journalism alumni have gone on to the Wall Street Journal, Fox News, ESPN, National Review, Politico, Nashville Public Radio, and many more.
