Academics
The good, the true, and the beautiful: understanding these three ideals, explored by Plato and many others, has essentially been the job description of Western Civilization for almost 3,000 years. Legend has it that Plato refused to teach philosophy to anyone who was ignorant of geometry. We think he was on to something. At Hillsdale College, you become part of this great tradition through our classical liberal arts education.
Classical Liberal Arts Core
The liberal arts here are studied the way they were meant to be: as a means of understanding the good, the true, and the beautiful.
Majors and Minors
In every field of study at Hillsdale, you will find a community of scholars dedicated to excellence, civil discourse, and the pursuit of truth.
Beyond the Classroom
Hillsdale College offers students many different opportunities to extend their education outside the classroom, from interning in Washington D.C. to spending a summer in Germany.
