Slavic Film Series

Benjamin Holscher

Benjamin Holscher is a senior from Hobart, NY, studying history and business administration. Ben is the founder and director of the non-profit organization A Few Good Men, the president of the Hillsdale chapter of the Omicron Delta Kappa Leadership Honor Society, an RA at Koon Dorm, a volunteer with Big Brothers Big Sisters, a leader for the Intervarsity Hillsdale Christian Fellowship, and a student driver for speakers who come to Hillsdale’s campus.

Evening at the President’s Ball

Don Tocco Visits Campus

The month of February saw the return of benefactor Don Tocco to Hillsdale’s campus for his eleventh event with the student body. For the past ten years Mr. Tocco has hosted ‘The Tocco Challenge;’ an annual competition where Hillsdale’s student-athletes competed against Mr. Tocco in such events as basketball, baseball, and chess in order to raise funds for various campus organizations.

Chi Omega Loves the Community

Only two weeks into the semester, the Rho Gamma chapter of the Chi Omega sorority at Hillsdale College planned two philanthropic events, hosting their annual Pancake Breakfast for the Make-A-Wish Foundation and a blood drive for American Red Cross.

Hillsdale Interfraternity Council

While each of Hillsdale’s four fraternities maintain unique identities and goals, they remain equally committed to the promotion of Greek Life as a whole, as an engine to promote the ideals and principles espoused by the college. The Hillsdale chapter of the National Interfraternity Council (NIC) serves as the governing body that binds the four houses together in pursuit of this goal.

The Best Part

Looking back, what was the best part of Hillsdale? We have been asking ourselves this question for a good three-and-a-half years now. If you ask a large cross-section of seniors, you will get answers that cover every area of the Hillsdale College experience.

A Guide for Surviving the Michigan Winter

The harsh Michigan winter, especially this year’s, has put many freshmen to the test of braving the elements and carrying on with the academic schedule. Many students find themselves trekking around campus in the bitter cold, through drifts of snow, and even slipping on icy pavement. The goal: get to class on time, with all fingers and toes intact.
