Hillsdale Academy, an independent, classical K-12 school located on the campus of Hillsdale College, today announced it will have five rising seniors competing in the National Merit competition during the 2017-18 school year. Elizabeth Bianchi, Michael Craig, Caroline Culjak, Nicholas Rush, and Leo Schlueter have all advanced to semifinalist status in the competition.
Jonah Harman and Susan Hoffman were awarded the highest honor in the National Merit competition: a scholarship to their university of choice. Harman will attend the University of Oklahoma and Hoffman will attend Michigan State University.
Hillsdale College hosted its 27th annual Summer Science Camps on June 25-30. The goal of the camp is to engage high school students from across Michigan and beyond in the world of modern scientific study.
Hillsdale College is proud to congratulate alumnus William B. Sellers on his recent appointment as an associate justice of the Alabama Supreme Court. Governor Kay Ivey announced the appointment in May, saying Sellers’ “conservative principles and his commitment to the rule of law along with his commitment to his family, church, and community are foundations that make him uniquely qualified for the position of associate justice.”
