HILLSDALE, Mich. — The Hillsdale College intramural (IM) sports, recreational club sports, and intercollegiate club sports programs have seen notable success in the 2023-24 academic year.
Hillsdale College and USA Shooting Celebrate Partnership
HILLSDALE, Mich. — Hillsdale College hosted a celebration of its partnership with USA Shooting on May 29. Leaders of Hillsdale College and USA Shooting, along with members of the U.S. National and Hillsdale College shotgun teams, enjoyed a facilities tour, range time, and a celebratory reception and dinner. The Hillsdale College John Anthony Halter Shooting Sports Education Center has been the official home of the U.S. National Shotgun Team since 2019.
Hillsdale College to Offer Athletic Summer Camps
HILLSDALE, Mich. — The Hillsdale College Athletics Department will host several athletic camps for grades 1 to 12 throughout the summer. Participating campers will have the opportunity to learn from and train with Hillsdale College’s Division II basketball, football, cross country and track, and volleyball coaches and athletes.

HILLSDALE, Mich. — Hillsdale College hosted a ribbon cutting at the Sajak Visual Media Center on May 10. The center was designed to facilitate filming and media production for the students and staff of Hillsdale College.
Hillsdale College Symphony Orchestra Performs Annual Commencement Eve Concert in Christ Chapel
HILLSDALE, Mich. — The College Symphony Orchestra gave its final performance of the academic year in Christ Chapel on May 10. The orchestra performed Copland’s “Appalachian Spring” and Respighi’s “Pines of Rome,” along with selected winners of the 2024 Student Concerto/Aria Competition. Parents, students, faculty and staff, and members of the community attended the concert.
Hillsdale College Grants Honorary Degrees at Commencement Ceremony 2024
HILLSDALE, Mich. — At its 172nd annual Commencement ceremony on May 11, Hillsdale College awarded Honorary Doctorate of Public Service degrees to John and Susan Cervini, Diana Davis Spencer, and Abby Spencer Moffat. Hillsdale College President Dr. Larry P. Arnn awarded the degrees.

Three Hillsdale College Graduating Seniors Commissioned by U.S. Marine Corps
HILLSDALE, Mich. — Hillsdale College congratulates Tomasz Ignatik and Joseph Randolph on their commissions to the U.S. Marine Corps and Joseph Hardenbergh on the commission he will receive later this summer. The college hosted an outdoor ceremony at the Civil War Soldiers’ Monument on May 11 to honor the students’ achievement and willingness to serve.
Hillsdale College Mock Trial Team Wins Second Place at National Championship Tournament
HILLSDALE, Mich. — Hillsdale College’s Mock Trial “A” team placed first in their division and finished national runner-up at the American Mock Trial Association’s National Championship Tournament held between April 19 to 21. The tournament was hosted by Loyola University Chicago and the University of Chicago in Chicago, Illinois.
Hillsdale College Graduate Student Charles Stalzer Wins Judith Finn Memorial Award
HILLSDALE, Mich. — Hillsdale College announces the newest recipient of the Judith Finn Memorial Award, Charles Stalzer. Stalzer will receive his master’s degree this year in Politics from the College’s Van Andel Graduate School of Statesmanship. His academic interests include 21st-century American Progressivism, Catholic Political Thought, and the U.S. Intelligence Community and National Security State.
