Hillsdale College Hosts Reception in Omaha

HILLSDALE, Mich. — Hillsdale College President Larry P. Arnn hosted a reception at the Omaha Marriot Regency in Omaha, Nebraska on Tuesday, Oct. 11, 2022. Guests were invited to attend a gift and estate planning seminar, an admissions presentation, and a featured talk by Dr. Arnn on “Preserving Our Country.”

Hillsdale College Chamber Choir Performs Choral Evensong with New Hillsdale Setting

HILLSDALE, Mich. — The Hillsdale College Chamber Choir performed during the fall Choral Evensong in the Christ Chapel on Oct. 2, featuring the world premiere of a new musical setting by Andrew Maxfield. Hillsdale College faculty, staff, students, and members of the local community attended.

Halter Shooting Sports Center Hosts Memorial Sporting Clays Classic

HILLSDALE, Mich. — Hillsdale College hosted its seventh annual Tom Klix Memorial Sporting Clays Classic on Sept. 24 at the John Anthony Halter Shooting Sports Education Center. The annual sporting clays classic was named for a 1975 Hillsdale College graduate and longtime supporter of the College’s shotgun team. The event raised approximately $13,000 for the endowment of shooting sports scholarships.

More than 700 guests attended the evening’s events, which included dinner and a colloquium featuring the Academy for Science & Freedom’s three founding fellows: Scott Atlas, M.D.; Jay Bhattacharya, M.D., Ph.D.; and Martin Kulldorff, Ph.D.

HILLSDALE, Mich. — Brian Shaw, artist and teacher of graphic design at Hillsdale College, is the winner of the 2022 Michigan Department of Natural Resources deer patch design contest. This year’s competition marks the 50-year anniversary of the DNR’s Deer Management Cooperator Patch.

HILLSDALE, Mich. — Hillsdale College announces its newest online teaching series, “Supply-Side Economics and American Prosperity with Arthur Laffer.” The free teaching series, released August 23, is taught by award-winning economist Dr. Arthur Laffer, who is joined by Steve Forbes, Larry Kudlow, Stephen Moore, Amity Shlaes, Brian Domitrovic, and Larry P. Arnn, to teach the fundamentals of macroeconomics.

The Princeton Review Again Names Hillsdale College One of Best in Nation

HILLSDALE, Mich. — In its annual rankings, The Princeton Review has again named Hillsdale College among one of the best in the country. This year, The Princeton Review collected data from 160,000 college students from 388 colleges across America. Hillsdale ranked in the top five of four subcategories, top 10 of four subcategories, and top 20 of five subcategories related to academics and student life.

The Radio Free Hillsdale Hour Surpasses Two Million Downloads

HILLSDALE, Mich. — The Radio Free Hillsdale Hour, Hillsdale College’s national radio show and podcast, now has surpassed two million downloads since its launch in February 2019. After taking two years to reach one million downloads, it took The Radio Free Hillsdale Hour less than one year to surpass the two million mark.
